In a bid to deepen community relations and improve governance delivery, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has appointed Mrs Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke as the Senior Special Assistant II on Community Relations, alongside several other aides across key sectors of the administration.
The appointments was announced through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and issued to newsmen by Mr Ismaila Uba Misilli,Director-General, Press Affairs Government House, Gombe, on Thursday.
“This is part of the governor’s renewed strategy to enhance coordination, promote inclusive governance, and strengthen public engagement, particularly at the grassroots level,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the newly appointed Special Adviser, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants are expected to play pivotal roles in translating policy into impactful development, with a strong emphasis on community integration and political stability.
“Those appointed include Abubakar Abdullahi (Habun DK) as Special Adviser on Agriculture and Farmer-Herder Coordination; Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu) as Senior Special Assistant II on Public Communications; Mrs. Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke as Senior Special Assistant II on Community Relations; Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim as Senior Special Assistant II on Community Relations; Aminu Abdullahi Musa as Special Assistant II (Political);
“Others are Abubakar Musa Bojude as Special Assistant II (Political); Usman Baba Mohammed as Special Assistant II (Political); Hajiya Amina Abubakar as Special Assistant II on Women Mobilization; Dahiru Mohammed Umar as Special Assistant II (Political); Ibrahim Bapparu (Kala) as Special Assistant II (Political); Umar Abdullahi Rambo as Special Assistant II (Political); Adamu Mohammed (Maja) as Special Assistant II (Political); Musa Aliyu as Special Assistant II (Political); Sadiya Alhassan Aminu Maiwake as Special Assistant II on Women Mobilization; Lami Adamu as Special Assistant II on Women Mobilization; and Bulus Yerima Bangunji as Special Assistant II (Political).
The statement said the appointments take effect from May 22, 2025.
Governor Yahaya charged the new appointees to uphold the values of competence, loyalty, and diligence as they step into their new roles.
