As exclusively reported by this portal fi ve days ago, Brighton’s fi rst bid for Simon which is speculated to bein the region of £8.4m was turned down by the Belgium side, who are not keen on letting the winger leave on a cheap. Simon who turned 21 today is valued in the region of £13m by Gent despite the forward having just two years to run on his current deal. Brighton are hopeful that Simon’s desire to move to England will help their course to lure him.
