Foundation donates security bus, splashes N.5m on female footballers 

Isioma Akamagwuna Foundation has donated a bus to a vigilante group to fight crime and criminality in Ubulu – Uku community and also organised a female football competition for secondary schools in Aniocha local government area of Delta state.

The maiden, competition which attracted 21 participating schools, was organised by the foundation for post-primary schools in Aniocha South local government area of Delta state.

At the final played at Ubulu-Uku, Ezemu Girls Grammar School, Ubulu-Uku, defeated Comprehensive Secondary School, Ogwashi-Uku by five goals to nil.

The winners carted home N250, 000.00 while the second placed school went away with N150, 000.00.

Ifite Mixed Secondary School, Isheagu, smiled home with N100, 000.00 for coming third in the competition.

President of the foundation, Mr. George Akamagwuna said the competition was aimed at discovering and nurturing young talents in the female football category.

However, he said it was a catalyst for communal bonding, and promotion of friendship among students of secondary schools within the locality.

Chairman on the occasion and immediate past Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the state, Lawrence Ejiofor, thanked the organisers and urged them to sustain the tempo.

Ejiofor said the competition was highly contested, adding that it brought out the best in the female football lads.
