Forum lauds military’s commitment to peace, stability of Nigeria

A non-partisan group, the National Equality and Justice Forum has lauded the Armed Forces of Nigeria for its cohesion and commitment in tackling the security challenges in the country.
The group also hailed the military for its sincerity, dedication and commitment to a peaceful and stable country.

The group in a press release signed by its President Elder Venatius Obi and Secretary, Mallam Gambo Shema, commended the recent media parley the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Chris Musa had with Defence Correspondents, saying it reflects their total commitment towards their mandate.

The forum while hailing CDS’s committed to the peace of the country and welfare of his personnel, the Armed Forces of Nigeria under Gen. Musa has consistently shown commitment to end insecurity in Nigeria.

The forum said “Troops are successfully rescuing kidnapped victims and dealing with unrepentant bandits and terrorists.

“From the NAF air strikes are obliterating the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists and criminals across the country.

“While Operatives of the Nigerian Navy are successfully arresting oil thieves and securing our maritime domain.

“Like the CDS said, securing Nigeria is not just for the Armed Forces of Nigeria, but for all citizens.

“The National Equality and Justice Forum will continue to use it’s platform to continue to solicit the support and cooperation of all in ensuring the security challenges is a thing of the past.

“The sacrifices of our troops will never be in vain, we must support and encourage them,” the Forum added.
