Kwara United players were in a state of euphoria when the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq announced gifts for winning the 2025 President Federation Cup.
Abdulrazaq made the donation during a grand reception for players and officials of the team in Ilorin on Monday.
The players and officials will be rewarded with N5m each, and a plot of land each for their outstanding feat.
Recall that the Harmony Boys defeated Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties in the final of the competition at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos last Saturday.
It was the first time Tunde Sanni’s side will be lifting the title.
The team arrived in Ilorin from Lagos on Monday morning, and paraded the trophy around key parts of the capital.
With the triumph, the team will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
