Fola Olumo Congratulates First Lady elect, Oluremi Tinubu

Diaspora for APC has congratulated the Senator Remi Tinubu over the emergence of her husband, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.

The Convener, Fola Olumo who stated this in a statement on Monday recognised the role played by  the First Lady-elect, before and especially during the rigorous campaign that led to the victory of our President-Elect. 

“She and her team traversed the length and breadth of the country during the tasking campaign. And before the campaign , she created enabling environment at the home front for peace and tranquility, which gave Asiwaju, peace of mind at home that gave him the wherewithal to be able to go into the campaign battle ready. 

“Also her antecedents as first lady in Lagos State, with her laudable projects like Spelling Bee and New Era Foundation, that never discriminated against anyone on the basis of gender, ethnicity or religion. 

“It is noted that majority of those who won Spelling Bee and became A Day Governor in Lagos State were mostly Students of other climes and even females. It’s on record that majority of these One Day Governors, were from Southeast. Such a detribalised First Lady we take Nigeria to a height of glory. 

All these One Day Governors have continued to impact their lives and those of others positively.

She further highlighted that Senator Remi has over the years championed the growth and development of young people in the country irrespective of their religious or ethnic affiliations.

According to the statement, Senator Remi has continued to be a source of dreams come through to numerous Nigerians, especially the youths, while womenfolk  and senior citizens were not left out. Imagine the monumental positive effects if these Spelling Bee and New Era Foundation were to be replicated nationwide as First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“As the First Lady of Lagos State, Oluremi was a dependable ally to her husband, as she offered him moral and emotional support to succeed at the helm of affairs in the country’s commercial nerve centre.


“During her husband’s tenure, she established the New Era Foundation, through which she championed the ‘all round development of young ones and promoted public awareness on environmental health and community service’.

“Nigeria is lucky to have her as the next First Lady, and we are really glad for what is to come ahead.”
