Ahead of Eid-El-Kabir celebration , the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, and Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola, have rejoiced with Nigerian Muslims.
In separate goodwill messages issued on Saturday, the duo, urged Nigerians, irrespective of all differences, to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he works hard to turn around the country’s fortunes positively.
Specifically, Senator Barau, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, called on Muslims to seek Allah’s grace for the country’s peace, unity, security and economic prosperity.
He assured Nigerians of the present administration’s commitment to turn around the country’s fortunes positively for the benefit of all.
“I wish Muslims and indeed all Nigerians a most memorable Eid-el-Kabir. As we all know, this season reminds us to place our faith in the compassion and wisdom of Allah and to be obedient to His instructions, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. True Muslims must adhere to peace, tolerance, justice, and charity.
“Also, in the spirit of this season, irrespective of our faith, rededicate ourselves to the dreams and aspirations of building a strong, united and economically sound country,” he said.
Senator Adeola in his own message, said, “As the new administration of President Bola Tinubu continues to grapple with challenges of change for a better future, let us all shun the debilitating approach of seeing governance as only for elected and unelected officials of government but rather all hands must be on deck to proffer solutions and initiatives for the good of the majority of Nigerian.”
While wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous celebration, the Senator Adeola said he will continue the effective representation that he is known for as a legislator among his new constituents in Ogun West and elsewhere by ensuring that they continue to enjoy dividends of democracy from the government at the federal level as well as from his facilitated programmes in the area of education, provision of social amenities like roads, boreholes and transformers among others constituency empowerment programmes aimed at complementing efforts of government at all levels.
