Nigeria’s CAF Confederation Cup campaigners Dolphins have declared they will not pay any compensation to Norwegian club Sarpsborg after the transfer saga involving Emem Eduok.
The Norwegian club, according to Dolphins, have demanded a compensation following Emem’s move to Esperance of Tunisia.
“We are not going to pay any compensation what so ever to the Norwegian club,” declare Dolphins manager Stanley Eguma.
“The Norwegian club are asking us for compensation now. But we are not paying any because we never did business with them in the first place.”
He further said: “It is known worldwide that Emem is a player of Dolphins but they did business with one A&B Academy. They should have done their checks very well before going for a player they wanted.
“As we speak we have completed the deal with Esperance and sent his ITC and Emem is already playing with the Tunisian side.”
Dolphins are believed to have sold Emem Eduok for a fee in the region of €300,000 to Esperance.
