Edo governorship election: LP inaugurates campaign council 

The Edo state chapter of Labour Party (LP), Wednesday, inaugurated its campaign council with a charge to lead the party to victory in the September 21, governorship poll.

Chairman of the party, Mr. Kelly Ogbaloi, who inaugurated the campaign council led by Reverend Sam Omede, charged them to win more eligible voters for the party’s victory.

Ogbaloi noted that the party would explore all available opportunity to ensure all stakeholders in the political space of Edo state are galvanised to support and cast their vote for labour party and its governorship candidate.

On his part, the governorship candidate of the party, Olumide Akpata (SAN), expressed confidence in the caliber of persons in the campaign council.

He said: “The inauguration of our campaign council and sub committee is a significant mile stone in our campaign to win the September 21, election. The campaign members understand politicking and the political terrain.”
