Edo CSOs elect interim executive

 

The Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSOs) has elected interim executive members to pilot its affairs and put in place modalities towards the emergence of a new executive council.

Former spokesman of EDOCSOs, Leftist Osazee Edigin in a statement said: “The Extended Executive (TEC), which comprised head of various affiliate organisations and coordinators of study centres have in its enlarged meeting elected two members to pilot its affairs.

“Those elected are; Comrade Curtis Ogbebor, as the interim TEC chairman/ coordinator-general, while Comrade Dickson John will serve as the interim TEC secretary. 

“All comrades are required to give them all needed support as  they pilot the network’s activities in the interim pending the emergence  of substantive  council.

“We would like to appreciate all members of just ended executive council for their selfless and resilience in the past three years in bringing the network to an enviable height even without salaries or stipends.

“All the support enjoyed by the executive council from our ever gallant members of EDOCSO within the last three years were overwhelming and well noted.”

Appreciating members for electing him, the interim chairman, Comrade Ogbebor said: “I wish to express my profound gratitude to God almighty, the immediate past executive led by Comrade Omobude Agho, heads of affiliate organisations and all members of EDOCSO for the tireless efforts made over the years.”
