Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, has described the death of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji (Dr) Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim as a monumental loss to Kogi state and the nation.

He said in a statement issued Sunday in Abuja that the Vice chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council would be remembered for being a stabilizing factor who also raised the profile of Ebiraland since his coronation in 1997.

The ECN DG said: “Like all Ebira people, I am deeply saddened by the passage of our revered paramount ruler, the Ohinoyi,Dr Ado Ibrahim, early this morning at the age of 94.

“The Ohinoyi’s death is a great loss to me, our community, the state and to the nation as well as to all who knew him especially for his good works on the throne of his forefathers.

“He was a traditional ruler that brought class and modernity to our community.

“While we have no choice but to submit to the will of Allah (SWT) regarding this loss, we take solace in the legacy of peace and development that Dr Ado Ibrahim laid down for posterity.

“May Almighty Allah grant His Majesty Aljannah Firdaus.”
