The kidnapper was reportedly arrested on Sunday during screening of pilgrims preparing to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia.

A security source, who spoke to Blueprint correspondent on condition of anonymity, identified the suspect as Yahaya Zango, noting that he said he lives at Paikon-Kore in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.

The source said Zango was declared wanted after he was indicted for his alleged involvement in some kidnappings within the FCT and its environs.

The suspect was said to have presented his passport alongside other Muslim contingent from Abuja, when the security agents  identified the  suspect who has been on the run after a manhunt for him launched.
