Boko Haram siege: PDP Reloaded organises national prayers

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Reloaded on Tuesday organised a national prayer meeting made up of Muslims and Christians for God to intervene in the insecurity ravaging the nation.

This was even as the chairman, National Advisory Council PDP Reloaded, Sen. Ibrahim Mantu, called on members of the Boko Haram to repent to avoid the wrath of God on the last day.

Mantu decried what happened in Yobe state recently, where school children were slaughtered by members of the Boko Haram, lamenting that the most shocking aspect of the massacred was the kidnapping of 20 school girls, whose whereabouts is not known till date.

He said: “We are here to mourn our brothers, sisters, children and all the victims of the insurgency. The country is engulfed with insecurity, Boko Haram in the North-east, kidnapping in the South-east and daylight robbery in the South-west.
When something get to a point we need prayer, once there is divine intervention, there is solution. We may not see the Boko Haram, but God knows where they are. We pray that God should intervene in the insecurity in the country.

“What happened in Yobe was most shocking where school children were slaughtered. 20 young girls have been taken away by Boko  Haram, whether they are alive we don’t know, but we have God who can reach everywhere. We pray that God will touch them so that they will have a change of mind.”
The national coordinator of PDP Reloaded, Chief Richard Lamai, appealed to Boko Haram to stop the wanton killings and destruction of lives and property in the North-eastern states.
