A group under the aegis of Coalition of Arewa Youth Groups, have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to appoint Nasir Bala Aminu popularly known as Ja’oji as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
In a statement by the Northwest Zonal Coordinator of the Group, Balarabe Abdullahi Jega, on Thursday in Kano, the group described Aminu as “a voice for the voiceless youth across North, whose contributions to youth development is unmatched.
“We, the above mentioned youth groups from Northern Nigeria, after an emergency meeting with our North West branch of the association, held in Kano, Thursday, July 24, 2025, over the vacant position of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, following the appointment of Mr Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, as the new National Chairman of APC, met and discussed on the way forward in the new direction, for replacement.
“With the large concentration of APC supporters from North West geo-political zone, we are respectfully calling the good attention of our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to kindly consider our zone, particularly Kano, which gave the highest votes to the President, during 2023 general election.
“We are calling on Mr President to kindly appreciate our own, a voice for the voiceless youth across North, whose unmatched contributions to youth development, was acknowledged recently by the Emir of Daura, as he crowned him with the title of Adon Garin Kasar Hausa- The Jewel of Hausa Land – Hon Nasir Bala Aminu (Ja’oji), who is currently a member of the Governing Council of Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, Yobe state.
“A renowned and respected youth of great substance in Kano State and beyond. Whose contributions to humanity is acknowledged by many within and outside Kano state, his home state,” the statement said.
