By Raphael Ede Enugu. Th e South-east zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday inaugurated disciplinary and fundraising/fi nance committees to ensure winning of the Anambra state governorship election in November.
Th e party, which said winning Anambra governorship election was the beginning of APC’s arrival in the zone, mandated the committee to maintain discipline in all the fi ve state of the party and recommend punitive measures against erring members Th e Fundraising/Finance committee is headed by Gbazuagu Nweke Gbazuagu the Disciplinary Committee is chaired by a former House of Reps member from Imo state, Uche Onyeagocha.
Speaking while inaugurating the two committees, National Vice-Chairman of the party in the zone, Emma Eneukwu, described the committees as life-wires of the party in the zone. Eneukwu said the party’s constitution “enjoins members in Article 9(2) to among other things conduct themselves in a manner that shall not bring the party to public odium and disrepute. “Th ese committees for the zone, to say the least, are among the life wires of our great party in the South East. “
It is said that a disciplined organisation is a successful organization. Organizational goals are achieved and sustained through maintenance of discipline and order. In-fact, it is the bedrock and foundation on which our party’s “change” mantra rests, our party’s constitution enjoins members in Article 9.2 to, among other things, conduct themselves in a manner that shall not bring the party to public odium and disrepute”.
