AFCON 203 Guinea-Bissau, Morocco first to land in Cote d’Ivoire

Super Eagles AFCON Group A rivals Guinea Bissau will be the first team to arrive Cote d’Ivoire on sun along with Morocco.

A CAF statement said both teams will jet into Abidjan this afternoon to get the ball rolling on the arrivals of the finalists for the 2023 AFCON.

Guinea Bissau will open the tournament on Saturday against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

They fell 6-2 to Mali in a test friendly as part of preparations for the AFCON.

They play the Super Eagles in a final Group A clash on January 22 also in Abidjan.

The Wild Dogs stunned the Eagles 1-0 in one of the qualifying games in Abuja, before Nigeria avenged the loss in the reverse tie.

The Super Eagles are due to hit Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday from Lagos.
