Aba South/North re-run: Abaribe congratulates PDP, Ebisike

The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe ( PDP Abia South), has congratulated his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Mr Chimaobi Ebisike, on the victory secured from the Aba South/ North federal constituency election conducted on Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Abaribe in a statement issued in Abuja Sunday by his Media Minder, Uche Awom, thanked the people of the federal constituency for  trooping out enmass to vote for the candidate of their darling party (PDP), despite the false impression made by some paper weight politicians in the area before the election that a formidable opponent existed.

“The wide gap of about 7,000 votes between the peoples choice , Chimaobi Ebisike of PDP and Mascot Orji Uzor Kalu of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), in the election as declared by INEC , has shown the whole world the party and the candidate on ground as against the one on airwaves and pages of Newspapers,” he said.
He also applauded PDP for effectively mobilising the members and mounting a clean and vigorous campaign that culminated in victory.

This victory Senator Abaribe added, was a clear testament that PDP is the preferred choice in the state, especially with the superlative performance of the government.
“This victory is soothing and a clear signal that our people are very conscious of what is going on in the country, with the shoddy treatment of the Ndigbo by the APC government. Never again can we be led by the nose, by people who don’t mean well for our people,” he said.

He however, advised the party to be magnanimous in victory and remain united and eschew tendencies that could alienate those willing to join now.
