Anambra: Obiano partners NSE to drive infrastructure, housing


Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has said his administration would never relent in supporting indigenous engineers in driving the state infrastructural development and technology.
Obiano, who disclosed this at inauguration of the 12th Chairman and other new executives of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Awka branch, said the state government has constantly maintained good partnership with engineers. 


The governor represented by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Architect Willie Okafor, said the engineering profession was one of major contributors to the success of its administration.


According to him, the administration would not only support the new executive to succeed but also support them to establish an Engineering Training Centre in Anambra state which would help to uplift the profession in Anambra.
Also speaking, the new branch Chairman, Engr. Odinaka Victor Okonkwo, assured that his tenure would among other things focus on professional competence and development of members through technical supports, workshops, training and retraining of members. 
Earlier, the immediate past Chairman of the branch, Engineer Martin Agbili, who attested to the capability of his successor, urged members to give him maximum support.
