The leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has begun his return journey back to Nigeria after disagreeing with the hospital’s terms of treatment.
Spokesman for the IMN, Ibraheem Musa, confirmed to Blueprint that the Shi’ite leader is expected to leave India on Thursday at 5pm Nigerian time.
A top member of Islamic Human Right Commission (IHRC) which negoatiated the medical treatment in India said the Nigerian government’s interference and scuttling of the whole process rather than supervision as ordered by the court was the direct cause of the impasse.
