A political support group, Northern Yoruba Agenda for Tinubu (NYAT), has pledged to mobilise no fewer than 10 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections from the northern region.

The group made the promise while commending the President for appointing Yazeed Shehu Danfulani as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), describing the move as a reward for competence and a boost to youth inclusion in governance.

In a statement jointly signed on Wednesday by the group’s National Coordinator, Hon. Rasheed Adekeye, and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seun Ogunyinka, NYAT said Danfulani’s appointment had rekindled hope among young professionals across the North that President Tinubu was determined to empower credible technocrats irrespective of age or political weight.

“Our goal is clear: to deliver no fewer than 10 million votes for President Tinubu in 2027. We are not just showing appreciation; we are already on the move,” the statement read.

The group said mobilisation has commenced across the 19 northern states with the aim of establishing grassroots structures to register first-time voters and build broad-based support for the Tinubu-led administration.

“Our vote pledge is not just a slogan. Structures are being set up in local governments and wards to coordinate outreach. We believe in what this administration is building and will not stop until the votes are fully counted,” it added.

NYAT said its confidence in the President’s leadership stems from key appointments like that of Danfulani, which they described as a “masterstroke” in repositioning the agricultural sector.

“We know Yazeed Danfulani as a tested, trusted, and transformative leader. His emergence is a strong signal that this administration is serious about driving economic growth through capable hands,” the group stated.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to working with stakeholders, traditional institutions, and community leaders to drive voter mobilisation and shape a more inclusive national conversation around youth empowerment and agricultural development.

“This is about numbers and vision. With the right leadership, the North can become Nigeria’s agricultural powerhouse — and we believe President Tinubu shares that vision,” the statement added.
