The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has received widespread commendation from leaders of the North-central and North- east geopolitical zones for its exemplary services during the 2025 hajj exercise.
Pilgrims’ welfare agencies from states including Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, and Niger expressed their satisfaction with the commission’s performance.
The commendation was made Sunday when Professor Abubakar Abubakar Yagawal, Commissioner in charge of Planning, Research, Statistics, Information, and Library Service, conducted an inspection of pilgrims’ tents in Mina.
Professor Yagawal’s visit was specifically aimed at gathering feedback on the services provided by NAHCON to Nigerian pilgrims.
Leaders from both zones lauded the leadership of NAHCON, particularly the chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, and his dedicated team, for their excellent work in ensuring smooth and successful hajj operations.
While expressing overall satisfaction, they also provided constructive feedback on areas where further improvements could be made in future exercises.
The state pilgrim welfare agency leaders also seized the opportunity to congratulate NAHCON on the successful conclusion of the 2025 hajj exercise.
A Blueprint correspondent present at the inspection reported that Professor Yagawal assured pilgrims of comprehensive arrangements for their return journey to Nigeria, scheduled to commence on April 13, 2025.
