President Bola Tinubu has lauded Nigeria’s senior women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, for their “superlative win” against South Africa in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semi-finals, securing their place in the tournament’s final.
Super Falcons defeated Cup holders South Africa by 2-1 in the first semi final played at Casablanca, Morocco.
The Super Falcons delivered an exceptional performance on Tuesday, overcoming formidable opponents in the semi-final clash against South Africa.
Their triumph was described as a “magnificent display of grit, talent, and the indomitable Nigerian spirit,” showcasing the team’s determination and skill on the continental stage.
Following the victory, Tinubu took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to extend his congratulations and commend the team’s efforts.
