Zamfara NUJ elects new executive

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara state council, Saturday, elected new executive members who will lead the affairs of the union for the next three years.

The election which was conducted unopposed among all contestants was supervised by the National President of the union who was represented by the national vice president zone A, Muhammad Tukur Umar.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare, pledged to run inclusive governance among all members of the union in the state.

“My door is always open and every member will be carried along to develop the union to greater level,” he said.

Maizare further commended the national headquarters of NUJ for the unwavering support in ensuring peaceful election of new executive of the union in Zamfara state.

He then urged members of the union in the state to give all the necessary support to the new leadership.
