The House of Representatives member, representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has handed over completed five solar-powered borehole projects he executed in federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state.
Handing over the facilities to the institution, Saturday, Hon. Bungudu who was represented by Aminu Lawal Bungudu, urged the management and the entire community to make the best utilisation through rigorous maintenance for its sustainability.
“Water is indeed critical in our lives, hence the need for the management and community of this institution to devise means of sustaining these facilities in order to avoid vandalisation,” Zannan Bungudu said.
Receiving the facilities on behalf of the school management team, Rector of the institution, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, said what Hon. Bungudu did to the institution was what is expected from every alumni member and political leaders.
According to him, water inadequacy which had been part of the challenges constraining effective learning and working condition has been addressed by the lawmaker, who is an alumnus of the institution.
He said Zannan Bungudu’s name would be written in gold as long as the institution’s history is concerned.
Other numerous contributions offered to the institution by the Zannan Bungudu includes full package sponsorship to 50 indigent students of Bungudu/Maru and award contract for establishment of Artificial Intelligence library to boost modern research and innovations.
