Nigeria’s Vice President Senator Kassim Shetima had said the two books authored by the cerebral lawyer were “on the two most relevant topics in our circumstances as a developing nation.”
Speaking presentation of two books on Thursday in Abuja “The Supreme Court and Jurisprudence of the Right to Fair Hearing in Nigeria” and “Public-Private Partnership in Nigeria: An Essential Guide for Stakeholders”, Shetima described Mallam Yusuf Ali as “a leading reservoire of legal knowledge,” adding that “history would not forgive him if he declined to write about his beloved profession”.
The Vice President said “the book will be reference materials for our judges, lawyers and law students on the development of Jurisprudence of the right to fair hearing.
Describing Yusuf Ali as “a master of legal proceedings”, he stated that it’s always a delight to watch him make appearance”.
“He has been my lawyer and friend for 20 years. I will sue without thinking twice and he attends to them without charging a dime.
He further stated, “The second book Public-Private Partnership in Nigeria: An Essential Guide for Stakeholders”, is equally timely and very handy to government officials, practitioners and other stakeholders. Certainly I will read this book
“In recent times the funding of public projects with collaboration with public sector are being identified as an important tool of project delivery especially infrastructure projects. And one of the cardinal pillars of renewed hope agenda is delivering functional infrastructure in Nigeria.
“His excellency GCFR believes that special handling and delivery of infrastructure are part of the engine room of economic development . I believe he’s going to define the meaning of the concept of leadership in this country.
He said “the yawning infrastructural gap is alarming and we can never shy away from it. The necessary steps in order to attract private sector participation in this regard.”
