Kebbi state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) has described his deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar, as a trustworthy companion.
Comrade Nasir Idris made the remark in Birnin Kebbi, Wednesday, at a grand reception in honour of the deputy governor, organised by the Old Boys Association of Sultan Abubakar College, Sokoto (1979 Finalists) Kebbi state chapter.
Represented by the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, the governor further remarked that he was lucky and delighted to have Senator Tafida as his deputy in view of integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
He congratulated the deputy governor for the honour done to him by his classmates and commended the old boys association for hosting the grand reception to celebrate an achiever.
Classmates of Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida who graduated from the Sultan Abubakar College, Sokoto, together with him in 1979, described him as a highly talented student and friendly.
