Yobe South: Bomai empowers 2570 constituents with N50, 000 each

The Senator representing Yobe South Senatorial Districts, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has on Monday flagged off the disbursement cash grant of N50,000 each to 2570 constituents  as empowerment.

The ceremony took place at the multipurpose Hall Damagum in Fune local government area where over 560 constituents across 13 wards of Fune Local government area benefited from the gesture.

Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony , Senator Bomai said, the programme was aimed at enhancing the livelihood of the beneficiaries, thus giving them lifelines and reducing the unemployment rate.

Represented by Assistant legal adviser Yobe state All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Idi Jugujugu, Bomai explained that the gesture is also to complement the effort of yobe state government under Mai Mala Buni in improving the hardship being faced by the people of the state.

Senator Bomai who enjoined them to see the donation as just the beginning, stressed that many donation are coming in the near future.

In his remarks, the Secretary, Senator Bomai Support Group, Ibrahim Mohammed said, Bomai thought of this cash donation due to harsh economic situation the country is facing.

“Because of this hard ship senator Bomai deem it necessary to come and give this cash donation to less privileged and some active political members in his senatorial district in order to cushion the effect of this economic hardship our people are facing and we think he is doing this at the right time,” he said.
