Yobe: APC flags off LG election campaign in Damaturu

The All progressive Congress (APC) in Yobe state Wednesday flagged- off zonal campaign in Damaturu LGA for the upcoming local government elections scheduled to hold on 25, May, 2024.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious in the 17 local government areas in the 2024 LG polls.

“With your support, the APC chairmen and their councilors will win the 2024 forthcoming local government elections,” the party chairman assured supporters.

Gadaka also called on the electorate to have faith in the party and come out en masse to cast their ballots.

He expressed optimism that the 2024 local government elections in the state would be peaceful, devoid of any form of manipulation.

The party chairman presented flags to chairmanship candidates in Gujba, Gulani, Geidam, Damaturu, Tarmuwa, Bursari and Yunusari local government areas respectively.

In his remarks on behalf of the 7 local government chairmen, the chairmanship candidates of Damaturu local government, Alhaji Bukar Adamu thanked Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni and the state party executive for giving them second chance in order to continue from the good project they have stated for the people of their respective local government areas.

Present at the APC campaign rally were the commissioners and advisers from zone A, APC state executive as well as local government APC executive across the zone, chairmanship candidates across the 7 LGA and APC supporters.
