African Network Centre has said it would partner Yobe state government in education, agriculture, commerce, industry and tourism as well as youths development so as to create job opportunities to teaming youths in the state.
Director General of the Center, Shuaibu Gara Ahmad, disclosed this Tuesday when he paid a visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni and to also undertake assessment tour of some key sectors for immediate intervention.
Ahmad said the partnership if implemented, over 7,000 Youths would gain employment and benefit from the initiative.
He commended Yobe State Government for the resettlement and rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as result of Boko Haram insurgency.
Responding, Governor Mai Mala Buni represented by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, explained that government is now making efforts to address some of the challenges relating to man power gaps through sponsoring students in various courses of study both within and outside the country.
Government according to the governor wpuld also establish close linkages to modernize livestock and animal reproduction capacity and establishment of data farms plantation to serve as avenues of desertification control and economic empowerment.
Blueprint gathered the collaboration will also include skills acquisition training and trade, resuscitation of all dormant industries in the state in its quest to diversify the economy.
