Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement in principle to sign Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian giants Genk, according to multiple reports.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that both clubs have settled on a fee of €27 million, with the Nigerian forward expected to undergo medicals on Saturday. Wolves are keen to finalise the move before the transfer window closes.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign in Belgium last season, scoring 23 goals and registering five assists in 45 matches. His exploits not only earned him the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot but also the Ebony Shoe award, presented to the best African player in the league.

Arokodare’s arrival is seen as a major reinforcement for Wolves, who have been actively searching for attacking options amid speculation over the future of first-choice striker Jørgen Strand Larsen, linked with a move to Newcastle United.

The Nigerian forward now joins a growing contingent of Super Eagles stars in the Premier League, including Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest), Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi (Fulham).

Wolves had also explored a move for another Nigerian prospect, Chrisantus Uche, from Getafe earlier in the summer, but the deal collapsed after his representatives opted to keep him in La Liga for another season.

With his switch to Molineux edging closer, Arokodare is poised to become Wolves’ marquee summer signing and a potential key figure in their frontline for the 2025/26 campaign.
