Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC Worldwide), has categorically stated that Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, will not become Nigeria’s president in 2027.

In a video message shared on Facebook, the prominent cleric dismissed any hope of an Obi presidency, warning that even overwhelming public support would not alter what he described as a divine decision.

“Peter Obi will never be president in 2027,” Ayodele declared.

“Let there be one billion Obidient followers, it will not change anything.”

He claimed that Obi lacks the spiritual mandate to lead the nation and is instead driven by personal ambition.

According to the cleric, Obi is desperate to become president, but “God did not give him that power.”

Ayodele went further to assert that should Obi ascend to power, Nigeria would face greater turmoil.

“If Obi rules, this country will turn upside down,” he warned, adding that a government led by the former Anambra State governor would only bring confusion and instability rather than the solutions Nigerians seek.

The statement has stirred reactions across political and religious circles, especially among Obi’s supporters—popularly known as the Obidients—who continue to champion his candidacy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
