When three elephants fight…

Don’t get me wrong because I know the adage said “when two elephants fight…” I just want to convey a subtle message to those with sane minds.
It is political with some elements of anatomical/medical analogy.
The legislative and judiciary arms of any government are there to assist and complement the executive arm of government to “execute” the best policies and programmes for a country.

When you have incapable people at the helm of the affairs of the legislative and judiciary arms of a government then the executive arm will be incapacitated even when they are willingly ready to give the country the best. Worst of all is when the three arms of government “selfishly” operate independent of each other with each trying to independently reign supreme.

Disaster awaits such a country when these arms deliberately refuse to believe that their leadership roles are synergistic for any form of development to come to that country.
Just because the brain regulates bodily functions doesn’t mean it can survive independent of the heart, kidneys, liver, skin or any other tissue-organ-system in the body.

And just because the heart pumps blood round the body doesn’t mean it can claim rights over the production of the fluid and cellular components of the blood.
If the heart and kidneys consider the skin as just a covering to the body rather than offering a protection to them, then they will realise their mistake when a Streptococcus (a type of bacteria) visits them in cases of defense breach in the skin.

A healthy body exists only when all the tissue-organ-system of the body work synergistically and a diseased state sets in when the scenario between these body parts is antagonistic.
It’s unfortunate that we have lessons deep within our own selves imprinted by The Almighty God yet only a few people reflect and learn from such lessons.

If a society wants peace and harmony then its leadership and followership must learn the ways of the tissue-organ-system. The arms of government in any democratic setting must learn to cooperate in order to give back to the entities that voted them into power. They should not betray the hopes and aspirations of the people that have been longing for CHANGE for so long.

This is my humble message especially to the three arms of government of Nigeria. Let them please remember that it is the people that voted them that suffer from the uncalled “fights for supremacy”.
