Waziri, district head of Dambatta dies at 88

A prominent traditional title holder in the newly created Bichi emirate council in Kano state, Alhaji Wada Waziri Ibrahim,  on Wednesday died at the age of 88 after a brief illness

Report reaching Blueprint  Wednesday morning revealed that the late district head of Makoda and later Dambatta after the Bichi emirate council was created by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, died at exactly 10am at his residence. in Dambatta town.

A seasoned administrator and a renowned nursing officer who was recruited into the profession by the late emir of Kano, Alhaji Abdullahi Bayero, had worked under the colonial  administration of Native Authority(NA) where he served in various capacities as a Nursing Officer.

Having hailed from a highly revered blue-blooded family  under the tutelage of the famous Dambazawa Fulani clan, Comrade Wada Waziri as he was fondly referred to, was appointed district head of Makoda, by the late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero and later became the district head of Dambatta, replacing the incumbent district head, Alhaji Mukhtar Adnan Sarkin Bai.

In the early days of the military administration of Air Vice Marshal Hamza Abdullahi, the late Wada Ibrahim Waziri was appointed to head the much  feared Kano State Environmental Protection Agency , popularly known as Ruwa Ruwa, which cleared illegal road side structures, found to be constituting snag to flow of vehicular traffic.
