With hajj 2025 on the horizon, the Saudi Arabia authorities Wednesday detailed the extensive preparations underway to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for the “Guests of Allah.”

Speaking at a press conference, officials stated the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to hajj as a top national priority, driven by the ambitious goals of Vision 2030.

The comprehensive plan highlights a significant investment in human resources, technology, and infrastructure. Over 45,000 professionals in transport and logistics, alongside 25,000 dedicated volunteers, have been deployed to cater to the needs of pilgrims.

In a significant leap forward, artificial intelligence is being leveraged to efficiently manage crowd flow and enhance safety across the holy sites.

Services for hajj 2025 are meticulously coordinated through the Supreme Hajj Committee, under the direct leadership of the Minister of Interior. This integrated approach ensures a holistic and well-managed pilgrimage journey.

A cornerstone of the enhanced pilgrim experience is the “Nusuk” smart card system. Over 1.4 million smart cards have already been issued, designed to streamline pilgrim mobility and provide easy access to a range of essential services. Complementing this, the Nusuk app has received over 30 new features this year, further empowering pilgrims with critical information and connectivity at their fingertips.

Transport capacity has seen a major boost to accommodate the millions of pilgrims expected. The high-speed Haramain Train now boasts 2 million seats, while the Mashair Train is fully operational and capable of transporting up to 72,000 pilgrims, significantly easing movement between the holy sites.

Beyond logistics, safety and compliance remain paramount. Saudi authorities have conducted over 37,000 inspection tours to ensure adherence to regulations and the well-being of pilgrims.
