Valencia are making renewed efforts to bring back Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq on a season-long loan.

The Nigerian forward spent the second half of last season on loan at the Mestalla, where he scored five goals in 16 La Liga appearances, playing a key role in helping the club avoid relegation.

Despite his solid contributions, Valencia chose not to pursue a permanent deal at the end of the 2024/25 campaign. However, the club is now pushing to secure the 27-year-old for another loan spell ahead of the new season.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Valencia are willing to cover Sadiq’s full salary as part of the deal, as head coach Carlos Corberán looks to bolster his attacking options.

Sadiq has also attracted interest from several other clubs, including Getafe, Girona, and Turkish side Samsunspor, but Valencia are said to be leading the race for his signature.

The Super Eagles striker remains under contract with Real Sociedad, but regular playing time could prove decisive in determining his next move.
