Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have approached Atalanta to sign Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman before the close of the transfer window.
According to David Ornstein, Bayern’s proposal is structured as a loan with a significant fee and an option to buy. But Atalanta remain firm, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the Serie A club will only consider a permanent transfer or a guaranteed obligation to buy.
Lookman is eager to leave Atalanta amid Bayern’s strong interest, though Tottenham Hotspur and other Italian clubs have also made enquiries.
Earlier this summer, Inter Milan saw a €40m bid rejected despite Lookman agreeing personal terms, leading to a transfer request and tension with Atalanta.
Bayern are pushing to finalise the deal after their move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson collapsed.
Despite recently signing Luis Diaz, the German giants want further attacking reinforcements as they prepare for both Bundesliga and Champions League campaigns.
