The Minister of Solid Minerals development, Dr Dele Alake, has described President Bola Tinubu as a transformative leader whose vision and courage would leave indelible marks on history.
In a birthday tribute to the president, Alake emphasised that the occasion couldn’t have come at a more auspicious time coinciding with the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
He then urged Nigerians to accede to the president’s request of celebrating with him by praying for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
“I congratulate my boss, ally, and visionary leader on the occasion of his 73rd birthday anniversary. Indeed, your life’s trajectory is a testament to God’s faithfulness and grace.
“Against the run of play, you surmounted gargantuan obstacles stacked against you and ascended our nation’s highest office nearly two years ago.
“Where others before you were hesitant, you took the bull by the horn, championing reforms that are today gradually yielding fruit in the form of declining inflation, reducing food prices and the rapidly improving security situation as a result of your leadership as Commander-In-Chief,” he said.
In a press statement on Saturday by Segun Tomori, the minister’s special assistant on media, Alake said the nation is today witnessing enhanced coordination and synergy among security agencies, resulting in the elimination of terrorists and neutralisation of key bandit leaders.
“This is a direct result of your unwavering commitment to securing our nation, Mr President. As you celebrate 73 years of extraordinary service and impact, may the Almighty grant you continued good health, strength and wisdom to build the Nigeria of our dreams.
“In deference to your wish, I urge Nigerians of all faiths to use this moment, coinciding with the end of Ramadan, to offer prayers for the country’s prosperity and well-being under your leadership,” he said.
He therefore wished the president a happy birthday.
