—Obesere’s rape scandal:
Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, was reportedly arrested by the police for allegedly raping a 29-year-old woman, Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Lagos. The alleged victim also claims he inserted a ring in her vagina, but Obesere’s publicist has narrated what he terms the truth of the story.
“It is a grand conspiracy and as Obesere’s publicist, I’m revealing the exact story. Alhaji Qudus Abass Akande, fondly called Obesere, came in contact with this girl, Miss Olanike Olaiya, on February 5, 2014, in Ibadan through his old friend, Bola Okoro for an ongoing business project tagged ‘Obesere Rice.’ She is supposed to be one of the beneficiaries of the project as a marketer,” his publicist responds.
He continues, “She came to Obesere’s Lagos residence in Okota on February 10, 2014. Obviously, an intimate relationship between two consenting adults had developed between them. Awed by Obesere’s famous celebrity image, she was all over him, entering the nooks and crannies of his house like the woman of the house, and even offering to do the cooking, and making several advances for a romantic relationship with the Fuji star. One thing led to the other, and she offered to stay the night in the cozy environment.”
Deola Adeoti, the musician’s publicist, insisted that after having a swell time at his house, Miss Olanike departed the following day with smiles, “but to Obesere’s utter surprise, he got an invitation from the Isolo Police Division that a girl who departed happily from his house has reported him for rape four days after her departure.”
Obesere is crying foul that something is amiss insisting that Olanike planned to extort him, this much the singer says the link-person disclosed to him and that he’s now the complainant. “The girl is now running helter-skelter to defend her obvious lies,” Obsere said.
“Now, the questions on the lips of many are: With many female fans and admirers of his prowess, is it possible for him to rape? Has a medical doctor examined her with the claim of a ring inserted into her private part? And why has she been on the run ever since the case was transferred to Panti? The answers to these questions are obvious to you and I and time will certainly reveal the litany of lies from this under-30 lady who wants to reap from where she did not sow?” Obesere’s camp asks.
