The pursuit of quality education in the North-east

Quality education is a fundamental right that has the power to transform the lives of individuals and communities. It provides individuals with the skills, knowledge and confidence to pursue their aspirations and make meaningful contributions to society. It is a key driver of economic growth and development and has been shown to reduce poverty, improve health and well-being, and promote peace and stability.

However, despite its many benefits, access to quality education remains a challenge for many, particularly for those living in poverty, in remote or rural areas, or who are affected by conflict or disaster. According to the United Nations, there are still over 258 million children and youth who are out of school, and many more who attend school but do not receive a quality education.

Quality education is more than just providing access to schools and classrooms. It involves providing students with a well-rounded curriculum that equips them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the 21st century. This includes a focus on critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, as well as core subjects such as mathematics, science, and literacy. It also requires well-trained and motivated teachers, safe and inclusive learning environments, and access to educational materials and technology.
