Syrian migrant rapist escapes Swiss jail and goes on the run with female prison guard

A 27-year-old Syrian asylum seeker jailed for raping a schoolgirl managed to break out of a Swiss prison this week after starting an affair with a female prison officer.
Police have released pictures of the 32-year-old prison guard, identified as Angela Magdici, who they say is on the run with her lover Hassan Kiko.
Kiko moved to Switzerland from Syria in 2010 after he fled his home country claiming he had been imprisoned by Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

He managed to get a job as a hairdresser, but was jailed in November 2014 after he was convicted of raping a 15-year-old schoolgirl in Schlieren, Zurich.
It was the last of a number of criminal acts that eventually saw him jailed, and the girl had been persuaded to get into a car he had borrowed from a friend where he then carried out the brutal rape.
Pictures uploaded to Kiko’s Facebook page show him posing for topless selfies in front of mirrors at a gym.
The breakout happened at midnight when the female prison officer waited until a male colleague was asleep before freeing her lover.
Prison guards said they had no idea that a relationship had developed between the two.
The prison’s director, Roland Zurkirchen, said: ‘As supervisors, we need to maintain a professional relationship but sometimes it is necessary to speak in confidence with inmates.

‘This is part of building a professional relationship and is part of everyday life.
‘But supervisors should also keep the proper distance, which in this case did not happen.’
Police say that this was professionally planned and the two fugitives may already have left the country after escaping from the Limmattal jail in Dietikon, Zurich, where he was serving four years for rape.
They say that evidence so far indicates that the two had driven off in a black BMW X1 with the number plate ZH 528 411 and that they were headed to Italy.
