Sudan’s head coach, Kwesi Appiah has mocked Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle following his team’s 4-0 defeat at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN).
After the match, Appiah remarked, “The Nigerian team is not bad. They just need better coaching.”
He admitted he was surprised by the large margin, saying, “I expected to beat Nigeria, but not by 4-0.”
The goals came from an own goal by Leonard Ngenge, and strikes by Walieldin Khedr and Abdel Raouf, who scored twice.
The defeat has now eliminated Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team from the tournament.
