Subsidies: Nasarawa govt receives FG palliatives, set to disburse

Nasarawa state government has disclosed that it had received the federal government palliatives and was waiting to disburse the same to its indigenes.

Governor Abdullahi Sule made the disclosure Friday in Lafia during a visit to the speaker of the House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balaton Abdullahi, at his residence.

He said the people of the state like other states were waiting for the palliatives promised by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the nation’s broadcast.

The governor informed the speaker that upon arrival from the US, he was told that the head of the state legislature had taken ill; hence he had to visit him to wish quick recovery.

“Good health, peace, unity and ease of life are what everybody wants. I am happy to see that you have improved and incorporated; we thank God for that. May God continue to keep us together in unity and good health,” he said.

Governor Sule acknowledged receipt of federal government’s intervention, saying the palliatives would be rolled out once the commissioner-nominees were inaugurated next week.

He appreciated the President Bola Tinubu-led government for the palliatives and promised to judiciously distribute them.

Responding, the speaker appreciated the governor for the visit, and told him the Assembly would continue to support him with legislations that would improve the business of governance for the growth and development of the state.
