Senate: Reconsider suspension of  Akpoti-Uduaghan, Forum pleads with Senate

A group under the auspices of AT Ahmed Consultative Forum in Kogi central senatorial district, has called on the Nigerian Senate to reconsider the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi central, to enable her resume legislative responsibilities in the interest of her constituents.

The forum coordinator, Hon. Idris Anako, made the call in a statement issued to journalists in Lokoja  Wednesday..

According to him, the recent events surrounding Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senator Godwin Akpabio have raised significant concerns that called for immediate attention.

“It is disheartening to see  leaders of such stature embroiled in controversy, leading to a suspension that many feel does not reflect a fair and just process, especially considering its implications for the Egbira geopolitical community.

“Senator Natasha Akpoti embodies the aspirations of our nation and the Egbira people. Her commendable contributions to both physical and human development serve as a testament to her leadership and dedication.

“Her accomplishments distinguish her from her peers and enhance the representation of the Egbira community on a larger scale”

“We must prioritize constructive dialogue over political intrigue, ensuring progress for all for the overall interest of the Nation” the statement said.
