Sardauna Foundation donates motorised boreholes to Plateau communities

The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has donated motorised boreholes to communities in Barking Ladi LGA of Plateau state to ease the challenge of potable water in the area.

The Sardauna Foundation on Thursday December 17, 2020, commissioned and handed over two motorised boreholes it constructed and donated to two communities, Yelwan Gidin Akwati and Ngher, in Gashis district of Barkkin Ladi LGA of Plateau state.

According to Managing Director of the Foundation, Engr Abubakar Gambo Umar, “the effort was in line with the Foundation’s mandate of interventions in critical areas like clean water supply to needy communities.”

Reacting to the gesture, during the handing over to the communities, the Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong represented by the state Commissioner for Water Resources thanked the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation for the gesture and assured Nigerians that the two facilities will be properly looked after and maintained.

The SABMF, Managing Director encouraged the residents to live in peace and harmony and to avoid any actions that will cause disharmony and disunity among them.
