A two-time gubernatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Rivers state, Sir Victor Fingesi, has berated the Martin Amaewhule-led lawmakers for engaging in a move suggesting to be a process of impeachment of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Fingesi who made this known in a press release in reaction to a letter written by the embattled lawmakers stopping Fubara from accessing the consolidated revenue fund of the state, said Rivers state did not need such political crisis or impeachment.
He further said that the way out would have been for all the parties to sincerely sheathe their swords and see areas of cooperation, pointing out that when Peter Obi was governor of Anambra state, he had no Assembly men but the Assembly cooperated with him to run the state.
He castigated the lawmakers for doing the bidding of their master, Nyesom Wike, the immediate past governor of the state, adding that such would plunge the state into a political inferno.
He said at this time, Governor Fubara did not need distraction in the development of the state.
The ADP stalwart said judging from the body language of Governor Fubara, he was prepared to work for the development of the state, stressing that Wike did not have the interest of anyone at heart except his own.
