A Dubai-based Nigerian Realtor and former employee of Tigers Properties LLC Dubai, Mr. Abimbola Joseph has debunked defamatory claims on properties investors.
In a press statement issued at the weekend by Sam Igwe. Esq. for Waterbrigde solicitors explained that Abimbola was been unjustly accused of defamatory claims and the sordid effects thereafter as claimed by the Chairman of Gtext Homes, Dr. Stephen Akintayo.
Akintayo had alleged in a social media blog that Joseph did not remit funds paid by the investors to Tiger Properties.
Abimbola while reacting to the claims through his legal representatives, denied
not to have remitted funds paid by the investors to Tiger Properties.
He said for clarity and record purposes that non of the investors except one Mr. Romiluyi paid money to the client’s account; others paid directly to Tiger Properties Account and “we challenge you or your client to provide any evidence that money was paid to his account for the benefit of Tiger Properties and he failed to remit same.
The legal representatives of Mr. Abimbola Joseph also issued a formal cease and desist notice and a comprehensive rebuttal in response to recent libelous attacks made by Akintayo of Gtex Homes.
“These false and malicious allegations, which include unsubstantiated claims of financial impropriety, have caused significant harm to Mr. Joseph’s reputation and professional standing.
“In a strongly worded statement, Mr. Joseph’s legal team categorically denied all accusations leveled by Dr. Akintayo, labeling them as “baseless, defamatory, and devoid of any factual evidence.”
“The rebuttal document meticulously addresses each claim, underscoring their lack of merit and demanding an immediate retraction and public apology.
“Mr. Joseph has also challenged Dr. Akintayo to provide verifiable proof of the alleged payments referenced in his press statement.
“If Dr. Akintayo possesses any evidence to support his claims, we urge him to present it publicly without delay. The cease and desist order mandates Dr. Akintayo to halt all further dissemination of false statements and to retract his allegations across all platforms within 48 hours.
“Failure to comply will result in immediate legal proceedings to seek redress for defamation, including claims for damages.
“It is worthy to note that after his (Dr Akintayo) arrest by the Interpol for cyber crimes against Mr. Abimbola in May 2024, Stephen Akintayo still resolves to posting these baseless allegations against Mr Abimbola.
“Stephen Akintayo should allow the ongoing cyber bully criminal case and civil suits instituted against him to run its course.
“He should also focus on resolving several other allegations labelled against him and get Mr. Abimbola Joseph out of his quest for media attention.
“Mr. Joseph reaffirms his commitment to transparency and integrity, emphasizing that he will not tolerate unfounded attacks designed to tarnish his character or career,” he said
