The newly re-elected Chairman of Bursari Area Council in Yobe State, Hon. Lawan Bukar Guba, has called on the candidates of the opposition parties who conducted the election with him to collaborate with him to move the council forward.
Recall that Guba was one of the 17 All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Chairmen that were declared winners of the Saturday Local Government Election held in Yobe State by the State Independent Electoral Commission.
In a call for unity, Guba invited opposition candidates to collaborate for the collective development of Bursari Area Council and Yobe State, saying that: “We must team up for the single goal of developing Bursari Area Council and Yobe State”.
Guba in a statement he issued on Monday, a copy sent to Blueprint, he expressed gratitude to the Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, for his nomination under the APC banner, and promised to uphold his leadership qualities.
The relected Council chairman also emphasized the governor’s continuous call for youth empowerment and support for the underprivileged, pledging to maintain the initiatives.
He said: “InshaAllah the visionary leadership qualities of his Excellency Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni I’ll be sustianed . The calls by his Excellency to we the elected representatives at all level, as elected chairman of Bursari empowerment to the youths & less privileged will be sustianed inshaAllah as a continue calls by his excellency”.
. Guba also acknowledged the significant moral and human support he received from the member representing Bursari Area Council in the state House of Assembly, both during and after the election.
He extended his appreciation to the state party chairman, Honorable Muhammad Gadaka, and all ward party members for their unwavering support.
Guba commended the state’s electoral body for the conduct of the council polls and thanked community leaders for their constant support, promising to deliver the dividends of democracy in alignment with Governor Buni’s vision.
