The Kebbi state governor, Nasir Idris, has approved reduction in official working hours for civil servants in the spirit of the Ramadan fasting.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued Monday by the Commissioner for Establishment, Pension, and Training, Hon. Awwal Manu Dogondaji, in Birnin Kebbi.
During the Ramadan period, workers in the state will resume by 8:00 a.m. and close by 1:00 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays.
On Fridays, work starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends by 12:00 noon.
Civil servants will return to normal working schedule after the Ramadan fasting.
The statement requests citizens to remain steadfast in prayers for sustainable peace, prosperity, stability and security in Kebbi state and the nation.
