Plateau pilgrims board begins biometric capture

Biometric capture of intending Plateau pilgrims has commenced at the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Also, the board Executive Secretary, Barr Auwal Abdullahi, has confirmed the appointment of the Emir of Kanam, Muhammad Babangida Mu’azu as the Amirul Hajj for this year’s pilgrimage by Governor Simon Lalong.
The biometric capturing which commenced Tuesday evening on the supervision of the Executive Sectary, witnessed a large turnout of intending pilgrims.
According to the Executive Secretary, vaccination and female medical checkup of the intending pilgrims, was being run concurrently with the data capturing, stressing that the exercise would end without hitches.
The Executive Secretary said all efforts were geared at ensuring that the deadlines for collation of registration, biometric capturing, vaccination and medical screening are met.
