The ADP equally said failure to effect the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators would further strengthened public perception that it has been compromised.
The ADP national chairman, Engr. Yabagi Sani, said in a statement signed by the party’s Director of Media, Kayode Jacobs, yesterday in Abuja that the current perception held by the people was that “the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is shielding killer herdsmen must be proved otherwise.
“If the government fails to respond appropriately on this Jos killing, the nation may be driven into a situation where every citizen will fend for themselves and this could spell doom” he said.
The party praised Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, for visiting Jos to commiserate with the people of Plateau State as well as have firsthand knowledge of the extent destruction on the affected communities.
Sani admonished all Nigerians to condemn the act as barbaric and genocidal, saying everything possible must be done to help the government “that appear clueless and helpless.
“At ADP, we commiserate with the People of Jos and admonish the government of Plateau State to be proactive with security in the State and not play politics with the lives of the people.”
